INDIAN CAVES

Bourbonnais Illinois is most known for being the town of the Chicago Bears training camp but not many know it for its geologic area. Perry Farm is a recreation area that has a variety of recreational opportunities to experience from the Indian Caves, to paved trails, to open fields of wildlife sightings to even cute little farm animals. The Indian Caves are a local favorite.

The Indian Caves are small narrow caves that include a little ravine that runs through to the Kankakee River. It is such a beautiful place to visit. Exploring inside of the caves is not recommended for everyone. The rocks are often very slick and the caves sometime have large amounts of water inside. But if you are feeling adventurous I would recommend exploring the Indian Caves. It’s always so beautiful. I’d definitely call the Indian Caves a hidden gem.

Check out Bourbonnais Township Park District's website to explore past the Indian Caves and see more of what Perry Farm offers.
