RURAL GIRL BECOMES BIG CITY: TRANSITION 1

July 8, 2017

So, today was the day I hugged my parents for the last time before they headed back to Illinois. I am so very grateful for my family. They really are my everything. Not many parents would travel 20 hours to help move their child to a location that far from home. They even stayed for an entire week just to make sure I was comfortable before heading back. They helped move me in, helped with my bank transfers and helped get my auto insurance straightened out here. I am so beyond blessed to have them in my life. This isn’t going to be an easy transition coming from a small town of 1,300 people to a large city where I know basically no one. It’s going to be tough but like they say... “life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”
